4 Natural Oils for Your Hair

Homemade, fast, and effective when used with consistency.

1) Anti-Gray Oil 👵➡️👩 (Sage • Amla • Black Sesame • Coconut)

Ingredients:

1 handful (≈10–12 g) of dried or fresh sage leaves (well washed and dried).

Amla: 2–3 chopped fruits or 1 tbsp (8–10 g) of powder.

1 tbsp (10 g) of black sesame seeds.

200 ml of coconut oil (virgin). If solid, melt gently in a double boiler.

Step-by-Step Preparation:

Jar: Sterilize a glass jar and dry it completely (moisture shortens the oil’s shelf life).

Load: Place the sage, amla, and sesame seeds in the jar.

Cover: Pour the coconut oil until it covers the solids by 2–3 cm.

Slow Maceration: 14–21 days in a dark place. Shake for 30–60 seconds every day.

Quick Option: Warm infusion for 25–30 min at 40–50°C (do not boil).

Strain: Filter with cheesecloth or a fine strainer and bottle in an amber jar.

Usage:

Apply to roots and mid-lengths, massaging for 3 min. Leave on for 1–2 hours and wash.

Frequency: 2 times/week.

Goal: Delay the appearance of gray hair, nourish, and add shine.

2) Hair Strengthening Oil 💪 (Rosemary • Ginger • Garlic • Olive)

Ingredients:

2 sprigs of rosemary (or 1 tbsp dried rosemary).

1 piece of ginger (2–3 cm), sliced.

1 clove of garlic, crushed.

200 ml of extra virgin olive oil.

(Optional) 1 tbsp flaxseeds to add Omega-3.

Preparation:

Use a sterilized and dry jar.

Place rosemary, ginger, garlic (and flaxseeds if using).

Macerate: 14–21 days, shaking for 1 min daily; OR double boiler for 25–30 min at 40–50°C.

Filter and store in a dark jar.

Usage:

Apply to roots and distribute down the length. Massage for 3–5 min to activate circulation.

Leave for 1–2 hours (or overnight) and wash.

Frequency: 2–3 times/week.

Goal: Strengthen fibers and reduce breakage.

3) Intensive Anti-Hair Loss Oil 🛑 (Coffee • Cinnamon • Cloves • Castor Oil)

Ingredients:

1 tbsp (8–10 g) coffee beans (crushed or coarsely ground).

1 cinnamon stick (or ½ tsp ground).

6–8 cloves.

100 ml Castor oil (very dense, stimulates the follicle).

100 ml Olive (or Almond) oil to lighten the mixture.

Preparation:

In a clean jar, add coffee, cinnamon, and cloves.

Mix the castor + olive oil and pour until covered.

Heat: Double boiler for 25–30 min at 40–50°C OR macerate for 2–3 weeks in the dark.

Strain very well and bottle.

Usage:

Massage into scalp for 5 min, leave for 1–2 hours, and wash.

Frequency: 2–3 times/week.

Goal: Stop hair loss, strengthen follicles, and activate microcirculation.

4) Moisturizing & Repairing Oil 💧 (Aloe • Hibiscus • Almond • Flaxseed)

Ingredients:

Thin strips of aloe vera, well drained (no watery gel; only the fleshy part, blotted dry with paper towels).

1 tbsp (1–2 g) dried hibiscus petals.

1 tbsp (10 g) flaxseeds.

200 ml Sweet almond oil.

Preparation:

Sterilized jar. Add the “dried” aloe, hibiscus, and flaxseeds.

Cover with almond oil.

Infuse: 25–30 min at 40–50°C or macerate for 2–3 weeks.

Filter very well (aloe releases particles) and store in an amber jar.

Usage:

Apply to mid-lengths and ends to seal in hydration. Leave for 1 hour and wash.

As a serum: 2–3 drops on damp ends without rinsing.

Ideal for: Dry hair, frizz, or split ends.

⚠️ Conservation & Safety (Applies to all 4)

Shelf life: 3–4 months in a cool, dark place.

Moisture control: Avoid getting water inside the jar. Use a clean dropper or spoon.

Patch test: Apply to forearm for 24h before first use.

Caution: If pregnant, breastfeeding, or have very sensitive skin, consult a professional first.

Do not use on irritated scalp or open wounds. Discontinue if intense itching occurs.

📅 How to integrate them into your routine:

Choose 1–2 oils based on your goal (don’t use them all on the same day).

Apply before washing, massage, and leave on for the indicated time.

Wash with a mild shampoo and condition.

Consistency: Visible results starting from 4–6 weeks.
